Erin Lucia the Director of Catering with the Embassy Suites Park Central.  Erin has been a member since 2001 and been involved with the MPI D/FW Chapter in various ways including serving as Vice President, Membership 2014-2015; Director of Membership, 2013-2014; committee member on various monthly meetings, Camp Wisdom Committee, Jan Pollard Scholarship Raffle Committee, Table Host Committee, Co-chair of November 2012 monthly meeting and has received two MPI D/FW Spirit Awards.  Erin resides in Richardson with her partner, Dan and son Leo.

Paige is beginning her fourth term on the MPI BOD this year having also served on the BOD for ISES, TxACOM, and CCEP in the past.  As a nine year veteran in the industry, she is very involved in a number of other industry organizations and recommends getting involved in the industry to get the most out of a membership.  When she is not volunteering, she gets paid to blow things up as the sales and marketing director of Pyrotex, the oldest Texas-based professional pyrotechnic company.  Married to her high school sweetheart, she is a mom of 2 beautiful children and resides with her family WAY UP NORTH in McKinney.

Sherry  has  been  a  meeting  planner  for  over  23  years with  experience  in  association  management, third-party, and corporate meeting and event planning. Sherry has served the MPI D/FW chapter in various roles over her 20 years as a member, including 4 terms on the Board of Directors from 2000-2004, and two terms as VP of Leadership from 2013-2015. Sherry was recognized by her peers in 2007 receiving the chapter’s Planner of the Year Award; Spirit Award in November 2012;  Mentor of the  Year  in  2015;  and  Mentor  of  the  Year  finalist  in  2016. Sherry  is  passionate  about  education, facilitating  the  growth  of  others,  and  giving  back  to  an  industry  in  which  she  herself  has  grown professionally and personally.  Sherry’s hobbies include hiking, camping, reading, and spending time with her high school sweetheart,  David, whom she reconnected with 6 years ago, and her children, their spouses, her grandbabies, and her two rescue dogs Bevo (Yorkshire Terrier) and Lola (Aussie Shepherd).

Tuula Westlake is a Marketing Advisor at FedEx Services and has held marketing positions in several Fortune 100 financial companies including Clark Consulting/AEGON Group, GE Money and Citi Group. Tuula has recently been a Co-Chair of MPI D/FW Chapter Mentor Café and in December 2016 she received the MPI DFW Sprit Award. Tuula has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and an MBA in Marketing Management and she also holds CASE, HMCC and PMP certifications.

Cori Dossett is founder and President of Conferences Designed, a full-service meeting planning and conference management firm. Cori received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Texas A&M University (1995), and earned a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) in January 2010, and the Certified Exhibit Manager (CEM) credential in December 2005. Cori began her non-profit career in 2001 as the Exhibits Manager at a large, nationally-recognized non-profit in Alexandria, VA, where she learned and excelled in the fundraising and development aspects of association management. She was involved in the Capital Chapter of PCMA prior to relocating to Dallas in early 2012. Cori joined MPI in 2015, and volunteered on the Education and Events Committee. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and reading.

Annie is a native Texan, born and bred right here in Dallas.  She graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in International Business and minor in Spanish.  She’s always been in sales and got into the audio-visual business with AVW-Telav (currently Freeman AV) back in ’00.  She is currently a sales manager with PSAV at their Dallas Corporate offices in Coppell.  Annie started out attending, and eventually serving with, MPI back in 2000 when she first got started in the AV industry.  She has helped out chairing a few different events and committees and is excited to be serving her first year on the Board of Directors for MPI DFW.

Annie’s hobbies include riding her bike around White Rock Lake, searching for patio’s on a beautiful sunny day, and spending time with her two rescue kitties, Pete & Tilley.

Stefanie has been in the meetings and event planning industry 20+ years serving the top Fortune 500 and association clients in Dallas for over a decade. She is a senior manager with extensive experience and expertise in the operations process of association and corporate events integrating client business objectives and goals. She has worked on over 800 events in various roles and duties including conference manager, meeting producer and hybrid/virtual project manager. Stefanie is an experienced and highly accomplished event producer with excellent customer service, interpersonal, innovative leadership skills. Her outstanding collaborative, negotiation and solution-focused talents include the ability to level-set leadership engagement through execution of strategic strategies.

Stefanie serves on the Board of Directors of Dallas/Ft. Worth chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI D/FW) as Director of Education and Events, most recent term (2015-2016) Director of Leadership and Dallas Independent School District (DISD) Advisory Board Member on the Hospitality/Tourism Academy – NAF. She was a participant in the PCMA Virtual-Hybrid Strategy Think Tank as well as a member of International Live Event Association (ILEA) (DC Chapter) – George Washington University’s International Institute of Tourism Studies (IITS).

Stefanie has earned the DES Certification: Digital Event Strategist and the CTA Certification: Certified Tourism Ambassador.

Roma began her career at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in 2002 advancing through numerous roles in the convention sales department. After relocating to the DFW area in August 2013, she became an MPI DFW Chapter member volunteering on the finance committee as sponsorship liaison and chairing the 2015 JPA Scholarship Fundraiser. During 2015-2016 term she served as Director of Finance, where her main focus was working with chapter partners and supporting VP of Finance. She is excited to grow her professional carrier with Stations Casinos, LLC. When not at work, she loves spending time with her family – cooking, gardening and traveling together. A Dean’s List High Honors graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, Roma has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Service Management. Roma was born and raised in Ukraine.

Magdalena Bonnelly has been involved in DFW hospitality industry since graduating from Richland College with Associate Degree in Travel, Exposition and Meeting Management program in 2005. Her background includes positions in local hotels as convention services manager, executive meetings manager and sales manager while she earned her Master’s Degree in Business Management in 2010. Currently, she is working for Caesars Entertainment Corporation as a National Sales Manager in Texas, helping corporate and association clients in Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma with their hotel needs in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Magdalena lives in Allen with her husband, daughter and rescue dogs. She is vegan and enjoys discovering local spots serving vegan fare. When not working or volunteering with MPI or local dog rescues, Magdalena enjoys being outdoors with her family and dogs, working out and recently has been trying her skills in photography.

Nann S. Philips, CMP, CMM, DES, has been committed to the meetings & events industry for nearly 20 years. Her background includes corporate meetings, annual conferences, continuing medical education, sponsorship, tradeshows, and association management. Nann has since parlayed her experience and established an independent firm, Scurry Street Meeting Management, specializing in the strategy, design and delivery of business events.

When not serving her clients, Nann volunteers as a board member of the Professional Convention Management Association Gulf States Chapter and Meeting Professionals International Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter. She is also an avid movie buff, shameless foodie, travel enthusiast and dog-mom to two adoptees, Marshy and Freddie, Scurry Street’s unofficial mascots. She and their doggie-dad live in Dallas.

Cassie is a proud alumnus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and began her hospitality career in 2010 as a member of the UNL Conference Services team assisting with all aspects of event planning and execution. In 2013, Cassie moved to DFW and began working as an account executive for Madeleine Crouch and Co., Inc. an association management firm, specializing in 501 (c)(3) and 501 (c)(6) organizations. In 2016, she earned her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation. Cassie has been involved in the chapter in various roles including being a member of the Leadership and Events and Education Committees, assisting with CMP Study Groups, chairing the 2017 Volunteer event and co-chairing the 2017 Awards Gala and 40th Anniversary Celebration.  Cassie has a Bachelor of Music degree in Saxophone Performance and is a diehard Husker fan!

Stephanie’s passion for events, people and education led her to pursue a career in the hotel and meeting industry. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Hospitality Management and began her career at the Gaylord Texan as a Conference Coordinator. Stephanie has since advanced through multiple roles at properties in the Dallas/Fort Worth area including Executive Meetings Manager at the Gaylord Texan, Conference Services Manager at Deloitte University and Social Catering Manager at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum. Having extensive hotel operations experience and insight, Stephanie joined Groups360 as a Director within the Meetings Advisory Division in the fall of 2015. In her current role with Groups360, she provides meeting consultation services to streamline hotel sourcing through GroupSync, a proprietary technology leveraging hotel rate and occupancy data.

Stephanie joined MPI for the chance to connect with those who share her love of events and she is thrilled to be on the board of such an amazing organization. When Stephanie isn’t traveling for work with her incredible clients – she is traveling for fun. Her boyfriend is a pilot and they enjoy flying together on the weekends. She has never met a dog she didn’t like, especially her dog, Chief. One of her favorite roles is playing hostess for her friends and family and showing her love through baking.

Kate Nichols is a Sales Manager at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center.  She joined MPI DFW in February 2015 and volunteered with the membership committee.   She has been in the hospitality industry for 15 years.  Interestingly, prior to working in hotels, Kate served as a police officer. It is clear she enjoys assisting people. Kate notes hotel sales affords her the opportunity to work without the added accessory of a bullet proof vest.  Besides loving her job, Kate’s passion is being Mother to a wonderful 4 year old daughter and Wife.

Director, Leadership – Shanika Davis

 Shanika began her adventure into the Meetings and Events Industry while enrolled in the Travel Exposition and Meeting Management Program (TEMM) at Richland Community College. She  became a MPI student member in 2011 and quickly became involved in the MPI D/FW Chapter through various committees including:Speaker Liaison 2012-2013; Breakfast w Club Chair/Co-Chair 2013-2014; Walk A While Committee Co-Chair 2013-2014; Speaker Liaison 2012-2013 and the Policy Review Committee 2014-2015. Shanika earned the recognition of her peers and was awarded the 2013 Spirit Award; 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award and 2013 Rising Star Award.

She credits much of her success to an amazing mentor and numerous others who served as coaches along the way.

Shanika has a passion for empowering others to learn, grow and maximizing their gifts and talents to be the best representation of themselves they can be.

She believes leadership begins with servitude, putting others before yourself.  In her spare time, Shanika likes to spend time with family and traveling around the world.

Michael has worked in the customer service industry for 5 years and has served in a variety of roles. In December 2014, he accepted a position at Madeleine Crouch & Co., Inc., an association management firm that manages various non-profit associations, as an Account Executive. He has worked with several clients and continues to thrive with them.  It was through his involvement with the different associations that he joined MPI D/FW in 2016 and has been supporting them as their Chapter Administrator.  Michael had the honor of receiving the MPI D/FW President’s Award in 2017.  Michael graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in English-Creative Writing. During his downtime, Michael loves to read and is a passionate photographer.
