Sherry  has  been  a  meeting  planner  for  over  22  years with  experience  in  association  management, third-party, and corporate meeting and event planning. Sherry has served the MPI D/FW chapter in various roles over her 19 years as a member, including 4 terms on the Board of Directors from 2000-2004, and two terms as VP of Leadership from 2013-2015. Sherry was recognized by her peers in 2007 receiving the chapter’s Planner of the Year Award; Spirit Award in November 2012;  Mentor of the  Year  in  2015;  and  Mentor  of  the  Year  finalist  in  2016. Sherry  is  passionate  about  education, facilitating  the  growth  of  others,  and  giving  back  to  an  industry  in  which  she  herself  has  grown professionally and personally.  Sherry’s hobbies include hiking, camping, reading, and spending time with her high school sweetheart,  David, whom she reconnected with 6 years ago, and her children, their spouses, and her two rescue dogs Bevo (Yorkshire Terrier) and Lola (Aussie Shepherd).

Erin Lucia the Director of Catering with the Embassy Suites Park Central.  Erin has been a member since 2001 and been involved with the MPI D/FW Chapter in various ways including serving as Vice President, Membership 2014-2015; Director of Membership, 2013-2014; committee member on various monthly meetings, Camp Wisdom Committee, Jan Pollard Scholarship Raffle Committee, Table Host Committee, Co-chair of November 2012 monthly meeting and has received two MPI D/FW Spirit Awards.  Erin resides in Richardson with her partner, Dan and son Leo.

Tony joined MPI in 1992. Martina Fundaro is the North American Representative of Prague Convention Bureau and has recently been Director of Marketing and Communication on the Board of Directors of MPI D/FW Chapter. She previously served on the Leadership Committee of MPI D/FW Chapter as a Chair of Mentor Program. In 2015 she received the Rising Star of the Year Award and Chapter Spirit Award. Martina holds a Master’s degree of Media and Communication. She worked as a news reporter for the Czech National Television and before joining the Prague Convention Bureau she acted as a spokesperson for the Czech EU Presidency and Head of the Foreign Affairs Press Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. Martina sings with the Dallas Symphony Chorus, plays cello with a band and lives with her husband in Lakewood, Dallas.

Cori Dossett is founder and President of Conferences Designed, a full-service meeting planning and conference management firm. Cori received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Texas A&M University (1995), and earned a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) in January 2010, and the Certified Exhibit Manager (CEM) credential in December 2005. Cori began her non-profit career in 2001 as the Exhibits Manager at a large, nationally-recognized non-profit in Alexandria, VA, where she learned and excelled in the fundraising and development aspects of association management. She was involved in the Capital Chapter of PCMA prior to relocating to Dallas in early 2012. Cori joined MPI in 2015, and volunteered on the Education and Events Committee. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and reading.

Roma began her career at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in 2002 advancing through numerous roles in the convention sales department. After relocating to the DFW area in August 2013, she became an MPI DFW Chapter member volunteering on the finance committee as sponsorship liaison and chairing the 2015 JPA Scholarship Fundraiser. During 2015-2016 term she served as Director of Finance, where her main focus was working with chapter partners and supporting VP of Finance. She is excited to grow her professional carrier with Stations Casinos, LLC. When not at work, she loves spending time with her family – cooking, gardening and traveling together. A Dean’s List High Honors graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, Roma has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Service Management. Roma was born and raised in Ukraine.

Alisa has 10+ years of industry experience in corporate meeting and event management.  Alisa has been a member since 2011 and been involved with MPI D/FW Chapter in various ways including serving as Vice President, Education and Events 2015-2016 and Director, Education and Events 2014-2015.  Alisa acquired her CMP in May 2013, and continues to increase her industry knowledge through continued training and networking.  Alisa enjoys traveling, yoga, cooking with her husband of ten years, and spoiling her two Boston Terriers (her girls).

Kelly is a native of Western New York and a Mercyhurst University Alumnist where she graduated with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management.  Over the Course of her 25 years in the hospitality field, she has worked in Hawaii and Dallas under Hyatt and Starwood hotels in a variety of hotel operations and sales roles.  She currently works for the InterContinental Dallas as the Assistant Director of Sales where she co-leads her Sales team of this 528 room hotel with over 115,000 square feet of meeting space.  Over the course of her time in Dallas, Kelly has been a member of NACE and HSMAI and has been a member of MPI D/FW for 10 years serving most recently as the 2015-2016 VP of Finance, where she was nominated for Supplier of the Year, Committee of the Year and won Strategic Partner of the Year through her hotel’s involvement in the chapter for the past year.  Kelly has served on the JPA, Membership and Leadership committees over the course of her tenure with MPI.  Kelly also is active in the Frisco Community where she resides and serves on the Centennial Highschool Softball Booster Club as Treasurer.  She enjoys traveling to Houston on  Weekends in the fall to spend time with her son cheering on the University of Houston Cougars at their football games. Her hobbies include golf, yoga and bike riding.

Kate Nichols is a Sales Manager at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center.  She joined MPI DFW in February 2015 and volunteered with the membership committee.   She has been in the hospitality industry for 15 years.  Interestingly, prior to working in hotels, Kate served as a police officer. It is clear she enjoys assisting people. Kate notes hotel sales affords her the opportunity to work without the added accessory of a bullet proof vest.  Besides loving her job, Kate’s passion is being Mother to a wonderful 4 year old daughter and Wife.

Paige is beginning her third term on the MPI BOD this year having also served on the BOD for ISES, TxACOM, and CCEP in the past.  As a eight year veteran in the industry, she is very involved in a number of other industry organizations and recommends getting involved in the industry to get the most out of a membership.  When she is not volunteering, she gets paid to blow things up as the sales and marketing director of Pyrotex, the oldest Texas-based professional pyrotechnic company.  She is a mom of 2 beautiful children and resides with her family WAY UP NORTH in McKinney.

Joyce M. Martinez accepted the position of Director of Events & Education for MPI/DFW Chapter, 2016 – 2017 term.  Joyce is a professional with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of sales, business development, marketing research, business intelligence, meeting/special events, and strategic business management for the hospitality industry. She has been a professor and instructor in different universities and was the co-owner of Roldan Consulting for eight years working on marketing and research-related projects for the hospitality industry.  She is currently the VP of Business Development and Sales for Meet Puerto Rico. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

Stefanie has been in the meetings and event planning industry 20+ years serving the top Fortune 500 and association clients in Dallas for over a decade. She is a senior manager with extensive experience and expertise in the operations process of association and corporate events integrating client business objectives and goals. She has worked on over 800 events in various roles and duties including conference manager, meeting producer and hybrid/virtual project manager. Stefanie is an experienced and highly accomplished event producer with excellent customer service, interpersonal, innovative leadership skills. Her outstanding collaborative, negotiation and solution-focused talents include the ability to level-set leadership engagement through execution of strategic strategies.

Stefanie serves on the Board of Directors of Dallas/Ft. Worth chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI D/FW) as Director of Education and Events, most recent term (2015-2016) Director of Leadership and Dallas Independent School District (DISD) Advisory Board Member on the Hospitality/Tourism Academy – NAF. She was a participant in the PCMA Virtual-Hybrid Strategy Think Tank as well as a member of International Live Event Association (ILEA) (DC Chapter) – George Washington University’s International Institute of Tourism Studies (IITS).

For over a decade, Courtney Percival has been working, volunteering, and contributing to the DFW hospitality industry. Courtney’s passion for creative solutions, drive to help others, ability to create marketing initiatives and development of social networking have all contributed to her firm understanding of the hospitality industry in the DFW metroplex. Over the course of her career, Courtney has worked as the Director of Private Dining & Catering for DRG Concepts, Sales Manager of Eddie V’s and currently is the Corporate Sales Manager for Premier Transportation Services. Courtney has been an active member of MPI for 5+ years, including 2+ years on the Membership Committee where she was nominated for the ‘Recruiting Event of the Year’ award. Proud to be a part of the Dallas community, Courtney’s need to give back goes beyond the industry; she also volunteers her time with the Warren Center, helping children with developmental disabilities receive the resources they need to reach their full potential.

Courtney’s hobbies include networking, traveling, enjoying outdoor activities, cooking, spending time with her friends/family, attending Watermark Church, spoiling her niece and her Maltipoo, Cami.

After a 20-year hotel sales and marketing career, Jennifer’s entrepreneurial mindset for crafting extraordinary experiences and her passion toward the entertainment segment has led her to create Feature Productions. By coupling innovative marketing through luxury events, drone photography and representing lifestyle, architecture, food and event photographers, she is also co-creator of a television project revolving around the hotel industry. Jennifer’s career philosophy has always been to help guide young professionals in order to reach their career goals and giving back to the community. Jennifer previously became active on the board in 2015 as the Director of Membership and was awarded the Spirit Award in August 2014.Additionally, Jennifer is a Realtor with Keller Williams who donates a portion of her commission to the charity of her clients’ choice with every home sold. She is a former state finalist in Miss Texas USA as Miss Addison whose personal passion is the prevention of animal cruelty.
