Bourgeois is a renowned and respected authority on leadership development, change management, and workplace transformation. She is a bestselling author, speaker, and coach. And she is a teacher at heart. Trudy believes that when people can learn and grow, they can achieve. Which ultimately empowers them to LEAD!
After a successful career as a senior sales and marketing executive who managed teams of thousands and a $3 billion budget, Bourgeois took all her experience and passion and founded The Center for Workforce Excellence (CWE) in 2001. CWE is a professional coaching, training, consulting and teaching organization that companies such as Intel, PepsiCo, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kellogg’s, Cox Automotive, and many others credit with advancing their talent management and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Trudy is a featured blogger for The Huffington Post, writes for numerous trade publications and magazines, and has authored three books on leadership: Her Corner Office (Second Edition); The Hybrid Leader; and Equality: Courageous Conversations about Women, Men, and Race to Spark a Diversity & Inclusion Breakthrough
Bourgeois has earned a reputation as a respected truth-teller who combines candor with humor to foster courageous conversations necessary for change to take place.
Trudy is the proud mother of two children, Adam and Mary Ellen. She has been married to her husband and best friend, Michael, for 34 years and is active in her church and community. Trudy is particularly active in Special Olympics, supporting her husband Mike who coaches multiple Special Olympic sports. She has also served on several boards, including the Network of Executive Women. And she commits much time pouring into and mentoring the next generation of women business leaders.

CSR of the Quarter

The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. The women Dress for Success serves are inspired to lead, to advance in their careers and to give back to their communities. They learn to initiate social change, which makes them assets within their local Dress for Success organizations and in their communities. With the skills and information, they gain through these programs; these women can have an even greater impact by inspiring those around them.
We need donations of:
