ORIENTATION
This committee presents the chapter’s orientation classes which are held just prior to monthly meetings. This is a great opportunity to make a new member feel welcome and is attended by the Board of Director members.

BUDDY PROGRAM
This committee pairs new members with seasoned members at the monthly educational meetings immediately following the orientation classes.  Experienced members will meet with our new members, make introductions during the networking reception, and then they will sit together at lunch. This is an opportunity to build a relationship with a new member for 2-3 months or a lifetime.

CMP STUDY GROUP & CMP EVENTS
This committee focuses on making sure each person that wants to sit for the CMP exam is provided ample information and time to study alone and/or with others.  If you have your CMP, this is a valuable place to put your efforts in helping industry peers acquire their CMP designation.

MEMBER CARE
This committee contacts both current and new members by phone and email to assess the needs of the membership, answer questions, and offer member suggestions to the board. This committee also calls on members whose membership is about to expire, re-instated members, and members that have transferred to the D/FW Chapter from other chapters.

MEMBER RECRUITMENT
If you like planning creative ways to attract new members and working to help people through the process of becoming a member, this committee is the one for you.  This committee also has the opportunity to contact educational and networking meeting guests and welcome them to the chapter.

REGISTRATION
This committee assists in coordinating the volunteers who help each month at registration for our Chapter meetings and various functions.

STUDENT COMMITTEE
This committee is responsible for creating a structured process for college students to network with other chapter membership.  There is a focus on educating students in changing trends in the meeting industry & providing a structured internship program.

PHONE TREE
This is a fun committee and gives you the opportunity to visit with members by phone.  From time to time, the Phone Tree makes calls to members to help promote special chapter programs. This is a nominal time requirement.

TABLE HOST
This committee is responsible for providing hosts for each table at the monthly meetings. Table hosts are responsible for facilitating conversation, making members and nonmembers feel welcome at the tables, and following up with the following day with an email.
